A Community of Developments

Companies within the CIH portfolio are currently undertaking a number of projects contributing to development in SA. These include the construction of the Tshwane International Convention Centre in partnership with African Gateway and Exhibitions (PICEC), as well as developments in the growing hotel and tourism sector, and a significant property portfolio in Pretoria and Midrand.
  • African Gateway Convention and Exhibition Precinct (PICEC): A project, in the shape of the African continent, is being developed on a 14ha site in Centurion between the following roads: John Vorster on the south, Hendrik Verwoerd on the west, South Street on the north and Lenchen North on the east.
  It will include:
  • The Tshwane International Convention Centre (TICC): an 8 000m2 multi-purpose facility that will host 2 000 delegates (5 000 people when the outdoor plaza is included) and have 20 breakaway rooms catering for between 20 and 200 people.
  • Two hotels totalling 500 rooms, including a five-star hotel that will link directly to the convention centre.
  • Penthouses aimed at corporate tenants.
  • Retail and office parks.
  • Gatsby International Hotel & Resorts: A Management and Marketing company specialising in luxury Boutique Hotels, Resorts and Guest Houses. Gatsby manages & markets the Lanzerac Hotel & Spa, the newly renovated St. James in Knysna to mention but a few, and is also involved in marketing various luxury hotels in Mauritius.
